Thank you for the compliments

Wow thank you so much for the compliments! It is fun to take goofy pics and sometimes those turn out to be so cool, so I posted a few of those too! Even when I got frustrated when they wouldn't stop giggling, I found a great photo moment and it is special even more to see them laughing together as sisters. They tend to fight every now and again, lol! My oldest had great ideas for poses so let those kids help you be creative!
I had many requests for the camera I have. Now mind you I still need to read up on it~lol so I am sure there is much to learn. It is a Samsung HZ10W which is a 10.2 mega pixel. I went from a 6.2 Mega Pixel. I just love the difference in quality.
The best time to take photos outside is either overcast, or in a well shaded area on a bright sunny day so you don't get shadows all over the faces and such. I do have a slight shadow of my hands holding up the camera in the last photo, but oh well!
Spent a few hours with my mother n law today. I don't get much time her one on one and I so I went on errands with her and had lunch at Crackel Barrell. Had a yummy breakfast there. Just love their egg sandwich on wheat sour dough bread with fried apples and cheesy hash browns. I know not to healthy but to indulge was bliss, lol!
Have a great day everyone. I have the day off tomorrow, so excited! Fridays are usually late nights at work so it will be refreshing to be with the family in the evening!

My girls photos for the school year

I love my new camera. I do not like the cost of school photos sooooo.... I decided to take my own photos of the girls. We didn't do school pictures last year because handing over $100 just made me want to get sick. So I got the girls gathered together and went out to the great outdoors and took some snap shots and I am just ecstatic how great they turned out. I have printed them out in black and white and they turned out so awesome too!
I just signed up and registered to go the women's conference here in Ft. Wayne Oct 2-3. I have been wanting to attend for so many years, but alas it comes and goes and I don't register. Some gals from work who are wonderful contagious Christians mentioned it would be fun to go together and it sounded like a great idea.
I am getting more involved with PTA. I am joining a group who are in charge of Teacher appreciation throughout the year. We always need to let teachers know how much they are valued.
So far the girls are doing so well in school, their grades are awesome and Mom and Dad are happy!
Hope your week is inspiring you to be a part of something for the better. Let God shine through you!
Blessings, angie

Long time no chat

I have spent the summer with the family and not on the computer as you can see. I am going to try and post at least once a week cuz I just miss mingling with all of you. It has been an eventful summer. The girls and I went camping up in Michigan, they loved fishing and sleeping and giggling for hours in the tent. My nephew Andy tragically died in an auto accident along with his girlfriend in July. He was only 17, she 16. Our hearts are forever changed, but will heal with time. He was a very special young man. I have also done a lot of reading and crocheting. I have worked on some blankets for Project Linus. I will take photos soon for you. I got a new camera so it is nice to play around with it.
Photos above are of the first day of school. My girls are in three different schools this year. Carrie is in her last year of elementary school now (5th grade), Carolyn is in her first year of middle school (6th grade) and Caryn is in her first year of High School (9th grade). Their first week has gone great for them and they seem to enjoy it. I now have some quiet time back with which I do alot of baking (ask my friend Lori) and still read and crochet projects. I have joined the PTA for all three schools and have volunteered my time which I do enjoy so far. Oh by the way Sophie was on a back pack, couldn't tell if she wanted to go or didn't want the girls to leave! Thought it was a cute shot anyway! Have a blessed day.

Project Linus

Okay all you Charlie Brown fans out there~ you remember sweet Linus and his blanket. Two of my 3 daughters carried around their blanket until it was see through as cheesecloth. I can't tell you how many times I secretly dug it out of the trash when my husband thought it was time to throw it away and very carefully cleaned it and gave it back because it broke my heart to take it away. There is just nothing sweeter than seeing your child drag around their comfort everywhere they go. Alas the day came when it had to be done but what a treasure they had in their blankie!

Since I have decided to take time off from my business and I am a creative gal, I wanted to do some more volunteer work with my talents and abilities so to speak. I remembered the Project Linus . I must say it felt right when the decision came to me that I wanted to volunteer my time to make blankets for children who are sick and in need of comfort. I don't need to go to meetings, or workshops, just my time in my own home to support such a great cause. Stop by the website highlighted and see where a local chapter is for your area. They give dimensions and the types of blankets one can make and even patterns. This came upon my heart and I know it will be me such joy to take part in. I will give a child some comfort just like mine did. I am excited that a drop off site is so close to me at my local JoAnns which is just minutes away from me. I can sew or crochet to my hearts content and make a difference in a childs life. The stats above is how many blankets have been made so far! Amazing isn't it! I like the fact they encourage blankets for children of all ages, not just babies.

So if you have time, think about what you can do for your community in this great time of need. It doesn't take much, but it means so much! Blessings to all!

Taking time for family and the simple things in life

After careful thought I have decided to put my business on hold, no not because of the economy or because my business wasn't doing well. I am doing this to have more time with my girls. There were so many days in the last two years they were wanting my attention or do something and I have to say no (sometimes impatiently) because I had to work on orders. I find that it hurt them more than the benefit of extra money. Everyone learns this lesson at some point in their live right! So I have decided to put them first and be available to be there for more things, like school functions, volunteer work and of course a love of mine to read.
So those of you who came to me for my creative side, alas I won't be very primitive here, just accounts of family life. My other blog ( Me and my busy hands) you will see some projects that I work on from time to time. I am truly enjoying being able to enjoy the weather, spend more time with friends and family and most of all have more time for God. It is hard lessons in life sometimes and I was just tired of always saying no to the wrong people, the people who are my family, the one's I love dearly and those girls of mine just keeping growing whether I pay attention or not. I want to have time for them when they need to come to me for difficult times in their lives and have fun with them in between the drama (LOL).
I am not leaving blog land, just redirecting my priorities right now, who knows I may desire to pick it up later in life, but for now, I chose to pause and smell the flowers~ God bless you all on this day.
P.S. Is anyone else unable to read my blog due to horrific amounts of pop-ups?????
